WE JUST RECEIVED THIS LETTER AT THE WHITTIER PAVILION Dear Director of Whittier Pavilion, I’m writing this letter of appreciation of your entire staff including all nurses, caseworkers, mental health personnel, and even food staff servers. They have all treated me with the utmost respect and compassion in any and all dealings I’ve had with them. I’m thoroughly impressed with my stay here which initially I wasn’t looking forward to but in my interaction with your staff I’ve been reasoned with and therefore calmed and relaxed afterwards. I will certainly recommend this facility to any people I know that may be in need of a crisis intervention hospital. I sincerely admit that, so thank you very much for all your care and diligence not just for me but for any patients I’ve seen in my past week here everyone was dealt with compassion, dignity and a lot of patience on your staff’s behalf!!! TCU Physical Therapist Part Time 3 days a week Thursday-Saturday
Per Diem
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the team for our 20 bed TCU located within Whittier Rehabilitation Hospital at Bradford!

Primary Responsibilities:
• Provides individualized evaluation, documentation of findings and progress, comprehensive planning and implementation of treatment plan, patient/family education and determination of rehabilitation and patient goals under the direction of a physician.
• Assesses and implements appropriate treatment plans according to patient diagnosis and status and in accordance of the Physical Therapy Code of Ethics.
• Completes documentation (e.g., initial evaluation, daily flow sheets, weekly progress notes, discharge summaries and statistics) on a timely basis.  Completes letters of justification for Durable Medical Equipment.
• Delegates appropriate duties to physical therapy assistants, aides and supportive personnel.
• Coordinates and organizes a full treatment caseload.
• Attends and reports at rehabilitation team conferences (RTC), treating team conferences (TTC) and family team conferences (FTC).
• Seeks to provide or enhance staff, patient and family education through continuing education courses/seminars and review of current relevant literature.
• Demonstrates clinical competence in all aspects of adult/geriatric and/or pediatric rehabilitation in the outpatient setting.
• May assist Clinical Manager/Clinical Specialist with consultation/peer review in specific areas of expertise as requested.

Prerequisites:
• Bachelor of Science /Master’s of Science degree in Physical Therapy from an APTA accredited college or university.
• Minimum 2 years professional experience.
• Current licensure by the Board of Allied Health Professionals, Commonwealth of Massachusetts or application for the same.
• APTA in Massachusetts and/or New Hampshire chapter of APTA membership preferred.
• Certification in BLS of Adult, Child and Infant.
• Demonstrated pursuit of continuing education courses relative to the field of physical therapy.
• Knowledge, experience, and competency in dealing with adult rehabilitation and geriatric age group.    
• Knowledge of growth and development across the life span.
