Dear Staff: We want to thank each and every one of you for the excellent care you gave our mother, Marion, during her stay there. She was happy there and she made so many new friends. Your kindness, compassion and love showed each and every day. She loved her “Bingo” and sometimes Jack had to tell her to “MYOB”. She tended to worry about everyone, and God forbid if we sat where “Mary” sits, we better get out of there before Mary got back. You made her last days and months that she was with us so comfortable. She felt so at home there. We miss her very much and we will always remember the staff at Daniels House. Love and God Bless! —Jack, Anne Marie and Tricia

The Whittier Pavilion

Team from The Whittier Pavilion raises money in the 2013 Walk to End Alzheimer's Seacoast Area Walk Foundation!

September 29, 2013 — As the morning dew slowly vanished and the sun rose over the majestic Pascataqua River, Strawbery Banke, in Portsmouth NH, became alive with those supporting a cure for Alzheimer’s.

Whittier’s own Brian Burke (with daughters Madeline Burke and Katelyn Burke), Kelly Barr, Holly Belanger, Ruth Jerez, Melanie Lamar, Megan Sirois & Jameson Pinette (Director of Community Relations at The Whittier Pavilion) wholeheartedly joined the thousands of enthusiastic walkers.  Over $350 was raised by the dedicated Whittier team.

The scenic three mile walk looped around Portsmouth’s core, twisting and turning on historic brick paved sidewalks, breaking way to magnificent views of the oceanfront.  The genuine smiles of delight along with devotion second to none, motivated each step the team members took.  It is no surprise that countless supporters look forward to this day, year after year.
