Dear Dr. Arcidi:
The intent of writing this letter is to applaud a most competent CNA in the Mayfair unit and also commend the Sippican Healthcare Center in Marion for employing such a fine professional person as Mr. Jean Wilhelm.
I have had the opportunity over the past several months to observe daily routines and Mr. Wilhelm’s dedication and work ethic has greatly impressed me. He is the cornersone of Mayfair with limitless energy doing the work of three, having valuable assets such as sensitivity using his nursing skills above and beyond any expectations of a CNA status.
Mr. Wilhem is a talented role model who is caring, compassionate, encouraging and respected with the Mayfair population. He has been instrumental with my father’s greatly improved health using his “Midas Touch” nursing skills.
If Sippican has a tuition reimbursement program for continuing education it would be a great gain for Whittier Management to offer this to Mr. Wilhelm.
Dear Sippican
Thank you again to everyone at Sippican that was involved in the care of my dear wife. Her days were filled with love and comfort, thanks to the excellent staff as Sippican. From the Program Director of the wonderful woman who cleaned her room, everyone displayed for. The outpouring of love and care that was shown by the staff was truly touching. I have never encountered such a caring group of employees; If you ever need any recommendations, please don’t hesitate to call me. Please accept the enclosed plaque as our thank you for everything that you have done for us. I will never forget all of the wonderful things that your organization did for u my wife in her last weeks of life. Thank you again.
Few family decisions can be more painful than the recognition that a loved one needs to be placed in a nursing home. The choice is often made with fear, sadness and guilt. Having to delegate to strangers the total 24 hour care of an ailing, dependent, often confused grandparent, parent or spouse can be agonizing for all concerned.
In the last eight years, our family placed its faith in Sippican Healthcare Center in Marion. We entrusted, until their deaths, four critically ill family members: an aunt, a father, a husband and most recently our beloved mother.
It is difficult to find adequate words to describe our connectedness with Sippican. In the case of each family member, our faith was well-placed. Every effort was made to keep us informed of ongoing needs; we were consulted about both small and large decisions; problems were acknowledged and rectified.
Our loved ones were cared for by all staff members with respect, with sensitivity, with professional competency and with genuine warmth. Fro 3.5 years they treated our mother, who died on March 24, as a special, cherished person. Additionally, they were welcoming to the Hospice Community of Fairhaven, whose care mirrored and maximized the excellent quality of the nursing that is the hallmark or Sippican professionalism.
So grateful are we for the responsible, respectful, resourceful caring of all our family members that wee need to express our thanks publicly. To all members of the Sippican family, thank you, thank you, thank you!
"I have visited several times and each time I was impressed by the capable ways things were managed. Always I was greeted by everyone with great respect and of course, the good natural banter that was so uplifting. You have a great and capable crew working here. I shall always remember the excellent treatment I received. Bless everyone of you."
"Having spent two weeks in the rehab service of the Sippican Healthcare Center, I can say I was thoroughly pleased with the care I received. In this day and age, it is all to common to run into medical facilities which are cold, automated and inhuman in their approach. At Sippican, I met with a warm and caring staff while taking care of all my needs with warmth and interest, which led me to feel that my recovery was the most important thing to them. For this I am eternally grateful and can give anyone contemplating a situation undertaking to mind, my ungratified endorsement. I am glad my recovery is continuing after and please extend my heartfelt thanks to all the staff who made my stay such a success."
My mother was a resident at Sippican for the past 3.5 years. She passed away very comfortably on Friday, with all of the children at her bedside. She also had the presence of her "Sippican Family" to keep her comfortable-physically, emotionally and spiritually.
Having been a registered nurse for 40 years, I have a very critical eye for health care.
I have worked in various health settings. I've been a high school health teacher and have taught adult CNA classes. Some of my former students have been employed by your facility. There are also former hospital co-workers, that I have much respect for that work at Sippican.
I can really appreciate the fact that nursing care is very difficult & demanding-although rewarding.
I can't name the staff that cared for my mother because I may omit someone-but they are all to be commended for the great job that they do. My mother received wonderful care. I received great service and was kept informed of my mothers status in a very professional manner.
Our family was treated with dignity especially on the day of my mothers death.
Please relay our appreciation to all of the staff and others who assisted in the care of my mother for the last 3.5 years.
