Hello JoAnn and Dr. Sefton,

Thank you both for the time spent today with you both—and your good program of “Memory & Aging”. I feel very encouraged especially since now I feel I am not “as badly off” as I thought!

Keep up the good works.

Dear Dr. Arcidi,

It is with great pleasure that I write to you about the care that my father received at your hospital. He was not there long, but the care was excellent. I especially want to thank Mrs. Joann Sharp and Dr. Jay Turchetta. Joann, whom I have known for many years, is a deeply sensitive, caring person who gives her all to make people comfortable and know they are cared about. Dr. Turchetta spent all the time that we needed to discuss Father's condition, support our decision making and teach the younger members of the family how to ask questions and make serious decisions. He is a fine asset to your team and an excellent physician. Joann's help in getting Dr. Turchetta for us was exceptional. Her position of "Director of Happiness" is one that fits her perfectly. She has spent a good part of her life trying to help people through hard times. Your wisdom in hiring her in the first place and then allowing her to blossom in this position is very unique in this field. It does and will continue to have Whittier Rehabilitation Hospitals be known for their extra touch of caring for people in the harder times of their lives.

I am sincerely grateful to you and your sons for the vision that you have shown to design such a professional, caring facility.

Dear Mr. Tracy:

I am writing to commend you on your wonderful facility here in Westboro and to thank your staff for the treatment given to my father.

While visiting at our home, he fell and broke a pelvic bone. After spending four days at Worcester Medical Center, we were fortunate to have him transferred to Whittier. As residents of Westboro, we had heard nothing but positive comments about your hospital, so I was very happy you could accommodate him.

He is doing quite well and showing steady improvement, physically and mentally. And what impresses us most is the wonderful staff. These folks have been so good with him - all of them, doctors, nurses, therapists, aides. They are extremely caring and sensitive. Whenever I come to visit, I'm usually met by someone out in the corridor who says hello to me and tells me how my dad has been doing that day. Just the fact that they recognize me and take the time to stop and talk is quite amazing. You certainly employ some excellent people in Westboro.

We don't know what lies ahead for my father, but the whole Whittier experience has been so good for him. I hope you will share my thoughts with the staff upstairs in the East Wing.
