Aquatic Therapy Program

Aquatic Therapy is rehabilitation in a warm therapeutic pool. 

Personalized exercise instruction is given by trained licensed therapists and therapy assistants. 

Patients that may benefit from this program:

  • Arthritis
  • Athletic Injuries
  • Chronic Pain
  • Fibromyalgia
  • Joint Replacements
  • Neurologic Disorders
  • Neck/Back Pain
  • Orthopedic Dysfunction

Advantages of Water Therapy:

  • Hydrostatic pressure helps reduce swelling
  • Decreased effects of gravity
  • Decreased pain
  • Low impact to painful arthritic joints
  • Water acts as resistance throughout range to help strengthen muscles

Facility Features:

  • Two warm therapeutic pools
  • Mechanical lifts to get in and out for patients that have difficulty with stairs
  • Underwater treadmill
  • Extensive water exercise equipment
  • Water safety trained therapy staff

Program Expectations:

  • Patients are not allowed into the pool area alone
  • Patients are asked to bring their own towel
  • Patients are encouraged to wear appropriate pool shoes in the bathrooms and pool area
