Dear Mr. Arcidi: I am writing to commend you on your wonderful facility here in Westborough and to thank your staff for the treatment given to my father. While visiting at our home, he fell and broke a pelvic bone. After spending four days at Worcester Medical Center, we were fortunate to have him transferred to Whittier. As residents of Westborough, we had heard nothing but positive comments about your hospital, so I was very happy you could accommodate him. He is doing quite well and showing steady improvement, physically and mentally. And what impresses us most is the wonderful staff. These folks have been so good with him - all of them, doctors, nurses, therapists, aides. They are extremely caring and sensitive.

Quality Assurance Nurse

Location: Bradford, MA - Whittier Rehabilitation Hospital

Category: Nursing Administration

Quality Assurance Nurse - Full Time 40 hours

Primary Responsibilities:
• Designs, conducts and coordinates quality assurance and improvement activities
• Works collaboratively with the Hospital departments to establish and manage an effective quality assurance program for the measurement and evaluation of clinical, functional status, and satisfaction outcomes, and the improvement of services/outcomes throughout the Hospital.
• Ensures that projects and activities are designed to improve compliance with all of The Joint Commission’s standards as well as other accrediting agencies and regulatory bodies.
• Supports the philosophy and mission of Whittier by facilitating performance improvement linked to the strategic plan.
• Performs or coordinates risk management.
• Facilitates program development, evaluation, planning, projects and activities.

Prerequisites:
• Current RN Massachusetts Licensure; BSN preferred.
• 3-5 years experience in acute medical rehabilitation or other acute hospital/long term care.
• Knowledge of managed care, adult-geriatric nursing, management of the disabled, OBRA, OSHA, HCFA, The Joint Commission and Medicare required.
• Knowledge of growth and development across the life span.
