Events at Whittier

I am writing this memo to document my stay at Oak Knoll. I have had a very good experience at Oak Knoll and wish to express my deepest appreciation of the services of your physical therapists. They were very professional and showed me how to proceed into better health. They are to be commended for their efforts. Other nurses were very helpful to my dismissal from Oak Knoll. Thank you all. —Raymond E.

Brain Healthy Cooking...for one!

Whittier invites you to attend a free community education program:
“Brain Healthy Cooking...for one!”

Through this one-hour interactive Brain Healthy Cooking demonstration and presentation, Cornerstone at Milford’s chef will show you how to prepare multiple tasty dishes out of a short list of healthful staples, helping you cut the waste and stretch your shopping budget when cooking for one!

Research points to the important role played by diet in the cause, prevention and management of Alzheimer’s disease. Our Award-Winning Brain Healthy Cooking Program is based on the well-researched Mediterranean Diet which provides protective benefits and enhances cognitive function at any age.

Each participant will take home a printed copy of the cookbook “Brain Healthy Cooking” which features many of the recipes the chef will go over during the presentation!
