Karen and Sippican Team, From the time my mom was admitted to Sippican on Nov. 27th, 2018 to the time of her passing, she received superb care. It was comforting to me to know that in both Windsor and Mayfair units she was being treated with love and respect, not just as a patient but as a person. I can’t thank the nurses, CNAs, therapists, Hospice staff, Jessica Arruda, cleaning and maintenance crews enough for making me feel like I wasn’t in a nursing home. Whittier’s Joe Stanislaw featured on Food Service Director online.

Joe Stanislaw, Corporate Director of Foodservice at Whittier Health Network, was featured recently on the popular food service website, Food Service Director.

In the article, Joe Stanislaw said: “Our primary focus has been trying to “get as much fruit and vegetables as possible into our senior population. Over the years we have added many more tropical varieties in the form of entrée salads and in our sauces and sides.” One example is a Chicken à la Jessie, a leafy salad with strawberries and oranges to add bright color.  Strawberries also grace a Cocoa Quinoa Parfait at Whittier.
