Join Cornell Orthotics & Prosthetics at Whittier Rehabilitation Hospital-Bradford on Saturday, September 20 from 10am to 3pm for an event packed with information, technology, resources, giveaways, food, and entertainment.
Find out how Whittier and Cornell offer a “One Stop Clinic” that is unique in the area compared to the standard care model, where a patient typically has to travel to multiple locations for the levels of care they might require.
At our “All in One’ clinic, care is coordinated in one location – offering convenience and improved patient outcomes:
- Onsite working interdisciplinary clinic where we see patients together and maximize the effectiveness of that patient visit.
- Wound care is coordinated with prosthetists: catching infections early, treating wounds early, monitoring wounds. Our wound clinic maximizes prosthetic wearing with thin compatible dressings.
- Diagnostic X-rays to guide prosthetic designs and adjustments to the socket on the spot using x-ray results.
- On-site lab aids with adjusting and fitting prostheses.
- Physical therapy sessions here are more effective for the patient. The therapist will often ask the prosthetist: “can you look at this?” and the prosthetist can educate the therapist on how the limb works, and what to work on to make adjustments/changes on the spot.
- Occupational therapy is also conveniently available onsite.
Our event will feature:
- New technologies from multiple prosthetic vendors, including adaptive sports and devices
- Golf lessons and running trials
- Helpful facts and tips from physicians, therapists and prosthetists
- New prosthetic knees and feet that can be tried on
- Evaluations from our wound care and prosthetic teams
- Food trucks and raffles
Come meet others from the prosthetic + limb difference community. Don’t miss out on this incredible opportunity – our event is free for all to attend!
