My mother, Maria, recently became a resident at Masconomet after having a live-in aide for the last year and a half. The transition has been challenging at times – both for her and our family. Thankfully, we have been very pleased with the experience at Masconomet and the level of care our Mother is receiving from your staff. We are extremely grateful for their service. There are two individuals, however, who have offered such an extra level of care and kindness that I feel compelled to let you know how exceptional they have been to all of us as we navigate this difficult process. Dianne Ellms has reached out to my Mother with such compassion, kindness, and humor – she is a true treasure. Dianne has discovered exactly the right way to engage my Mother, especially when she is having a difficult day. The relationship has made my Mom’s days much brighter and has played an enormous role in helping her to adjust to her new living situation. Dianne embodies the highest ideals of her profession and I wanted to let you know the difference she has made for our family. The other outstanding Masconomet employee is Michael, who mans the front reception desk in such a consistently pleasant and helpful manner. He is the perfect “first impression” for the facility, and, again, I wanted you to know, as a family member, how much his professionalism is appreciated.
