Bradford TCU has finally been open long enough to have a star rating and we are Five stars! Zachary Wilkins, Administrator at Whittier Bradford Transitional Care Unit, said “Earning Five Stars is very exciting news for the TCU.  It is a true representation of our team’s commitment to providing the highest level of care each and every day.  Our star rating is a validation of all our hard work and dedication since we opened the Transitional Care Unit.

Whittier Bradford Transitional Care Unit is run by Administrator Zachary Wilkins, Medical Director Dr. Paul Liguori, and Director of Nursing Services Theresa Craig.  The Transitional Care Units specialize in aggressive, short term rehabilitative care for those patients who need additional time to transition to home safely after their hospital stay.

CMS created the Five-Star Quality Rating System to help consumers, their families, and caregivers compare nursing homes more easily and to help identify areas about which they may want to ask questions.  The Nursing Home Compare Web site features a quality rating system that gives each nursing home a rating of between 1 and 5 stars.  Nursing homes with 5 stars are considered to have much above average quality and nursing homes with 1 star are considered to have quality much below average.  There is one Overall 5-star rating for each nursing home, and a separate rating for each of the following three sources of information:  Health Inspections, Staffing, and Quality Measures (QMs).
